What are we doing to work on our social and emotional competencies during all of this?

You can be an Emotions Detective with @minilandusa 💙💚💛❤️🕵🏻‍♂️ This game is PERFECT for working at home with my first grader, and all my SLP friends out’ve GOT to grab one of these for your small groups and one on one sessions!

You spin, pick a card, talk about the situation, talk about how the person is feeling...hello ZONES OF REGULATION...and then you think of what the person could do to feel better/What they could have done to avoid feeling that way. If you’re playing with a group, you can come up with an agreement on your hypothesis of what the character could do next time/instead...and THEN you flip the card and you get to use your super cool magnifying glass to reveal an image of what they actually did! If you all agreed on solved the case, and your group gets a star! I’m telling you, my kiddo and I could have played forever! Our conversations were incredible, and each time we talked about our observations and ideas of what they could do next time, I know more and more connections were being made. If you are a parent, or you work with elementary kiddos, you’ve got to check out @minilandusa and all their products. You will LOVE them!
